Game 5: Mets 13 Cardinals 6

Thank you to the Hammond family. Heather worked the concession stand and Breck is in his fourth year of helping me coach.

Hitters of the game: Grant, Kyle, Jaxon, and Bradyn all went 4 for 4. Byron and Aaron each had 3 hits. Laken went 2 for 2. Hunter got 2 hits and Kaitlyn went 1 for 2.

Fielders of the game: Kayla made a wonderful play at second base. She stopped the ball and made a good throw to Jaxon who stretched, made the catch, and got the runner out. Grant made a good stop and throw Jaxon to get the runner at first. I love it when they make real baseball plays. Kyle made some good stops and got a couple of runners out. Byron made a good stop but the throw didn't quiet get the runner at at first. It is an awfully long throw from 3rd. Bradyn did a good job of getting up from his catchers crouch to make a play and almost got the runner at first.

Remember that Sunday is Mother's Day. Be good to your mom all day(and everyday) but especially on Mother's Day. Thank her for letting you play baseball and all the other things she does for you.

I'd like to thank all the moms for helping with the concession stand and making sure their kids are at the games on time and at practices when possible. I'd especially like to thank Jaxon's mom for being the "dugout mom" and keeping the scorebook. It is a tough job but she is very good at it. It makes my job much easier and much more enjoyable. She's got to be the best looking assistant coach ever(no offense Breck and Donnie).
