HAP Coach Pitch Rules
2. Coaches are to explain to the parent's that they need to arrive at 5:00 on the day they are to work the concession stand to help get the food started.
3. The games will begin at 5:30. All warm-ups need to take place prior to 5:30.
4. No inning will begin after 6:45.
5. The home team is the bottom team listed on the schedule.
6. It is the home team's coach that will be responsible for lining the field.
7. The child that is playing in the position of the pitcher must have one foot on the pitching rubber until the ball is hit.
8. Players will advance 1 base on an infield hit.
9. The runner must stop after the ball is in the infield and "Time Out" is called.
10. All innings except the last will have a 5 run limit.
11. The last inning does not have a run limit.
12. All innings will end after three outs have been obtained.
(These are the rules that were given to me. As long as the other coach and I agree there may be some changes from game to game. I have had no problems with other coaches trying to get by with anything. It's just hard to be too specific with the rules and even we don't know exactly how to handle certain situations. From what I have heard from other leagues we are lucky to have the sportsmanship we have in our coach pitch league.)

Game 2: Mets 14 Cardinals 11
Hunter has a hair-line fracture. No further treatment should be needed. He is doing well and was able to con his mom into getting some ice cream after he went to the emergency room. I've seen grown men cry when hit that hard but Hunter didn't cry once. He asked the doctor when he could play again and he said as soon as he feels like it. Hopefully he will be able to play Thursday.
Thanks to Erica for working the concession stand. Hopefully she got to see Aaron's big hit when he knocked in the fifth run in the second inning.
Aaron
Hitters of the game. Grant(Big Guy), Kyle, Jaxon and Byron all went 3 for 3 and all scored 3 times. Laken was 2 for 2 and hit the ball real hard both times. Bradyn, Aaron, and Kaitlyn each got a hit.
Fielders of the game. Hunter made the best stop, unfortunately it was with his nose. He was in perfect position, the ball just took a big hop on him. Big Guy made some big stops and got a runner out at 3rd and home. Byron made a good stop and tagged the runner coming to 3rd. Kyle made a good stop but his coach(me) was yelling for him to throw it to the wrong base. My bad Kyle.
Kayla gave it her best try after being sick all day but had to stop after a couple of innings. I hope you start to feel better.
Kayley, we missed you. I hope you're better by Thursday.
I'm sure I'm leaving something out but if anyone can remember something else feel free to add it in the comments.
See you Thursday.

Great stop in the outfield tonight! Base Hit! Scored a run!
Mom worked concession!
Other great happenings:
Kyle hit a home run first time up to bat!
Byron also hit a home run!
Bradyn was two for two at the plate!
Kayla & Jaxon both caught pop-ups and got the runners out!
Hunter had a couple of great stops on the pitcher's mound!
Aaron had a base hit and made a good stop in the outfield!
Kaitlyn had some nice swings and is very close to making contact. She's our most enthusiastic player, always cheering on her teammates! This was her first baseball game ever and she won!
Good Job Mets!
